Job summary

Arriva London seeks an experienced engineer to maintain and repair buses to high standards. You will work across a fleet to keep services reliable and safe in London.

Key requirements include PSV/HGV or equivalent, a UK driving licence with low points, and willingness to obtain a PCV licence. Training in EV and diagnostics is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications include PSV, HGV, or light vehicle maintenance and repair (NVQ Level 2+).
• Alternative: 5+ years hands-on experience if not formally qualified.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
• PCV licence preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Pass a PCV pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs on a fleet of commercial buses.
• Ensure servicing, inspections, and repairs meet Arriva and DVSA standards.
• Assist with MOT preparation and preventative maintenance campaigns.
• Improve bus reliability through monitoring, maintenance and repair.
• Discuss and adapt flexible shift patterns with the team.

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant Qualifications: PSV, HGV, or light vehicle maintenance and repair (minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent). We'll also consider candidates with 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience if you're not formally qualified.
• Full UK Driving License: Must have a valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points.

Your Role
