Job summary

Arriva London is seeking a Skilled PSV Mechanic to join the Grays Garage team. You will perform planned maintenance, fault diagnostics and repairs on a fleet of London buses to Arriva and DVSA standards, aiming for high reliability and safety.

The role involves MOT preparation, maintenance campaigns and quality checks, with overtime and development opportunities including EV training and diagnostics. Shifts vary to suit lifestyle.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in PSV/HGV/Light vehicle maintenance.
• Experience with PSV/HGV or light vehicle maintenance is advantageous.
• Ability to perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance on a fleet of London buses.
• Diagnose faults and carry out reactive repairs to high standards.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and compliance checks with DVSA standards.
• Support continuous improvement of vehicle reliability and Arriva DVSA compliance.
• Adapt to various shift patterns to meet service requirements.
