Job summary

Nakilat is seeking a Marine Personnel Recruitment Specialist (Engine) to lead the end-to-end recruitment of Engine Officers and Ratings for the fleet. You will interview candidates, assess technical skills, and ensure timely manning, while aligning with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The role also involves maintaining relationships with manning agencies, benchmarking recruitment practices, and managing the Engine Cadet Program.

Qualifications

• STCW II/2 Certificate of Competency is required.
• Minimum 36 months sailing experience as Engineer on gas or large oil tankers.
• Strong knowledge of engine certification, competency requirements and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, interviewing-technical assessment and hiring of Engine Officers and Ratings.
• Coordinate with Marine Personnel Operations for handover to vessels.
• Benchmark recruitment practices and monitor compliance with regulations.
• Develop cost-effective sourcing solutions beyond established partners.
• Manage Engine cadet program recruitment and stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor recruitment expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
