Job summary

Cosworth Ltd is seeking Sub-Assembly Technicians to join our Engine Build department. You will build and strip engine sub-assemblies, inspect components, and test them on rigs, recording data in the engine database.

Ideal candidates are team players with good communication skills, manual dexterity, and flexibility to meet tight deadlines. Overtime may be required during busy periods to achieve workloads and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Build engine sub-assemblies – inspect and measure critical components as defined in Cosworth build manuals.
• Strip engine sub-assemblies – inspect and measure critical components as defined in Cosworth build manuals.
• Test subcomponents of engine assemblies on rigs and collect data.
• Record and maintain all build data and keep records up to date.
• Report faults and record information in the main engine database.
• Adhere to Health & Safety practices and be prepared for other duties as needed to hit targets.
• Consider the health, safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.

Cosworth are hiring Sub-Assembly Technicians to join our Engine Build department, contributing to iconic projects such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie, Gordon Murray T.50, Bugatti Tourbillon, and Red Bull RB17. The role involves the build and rebuild of high-performance engine assemblies, including dismantling, measuring, assembling, and rebuilding components in line with Cosworth standards and best practice.

The Role

• Build of engine sub-assemblies – inspection and measurement of critical components as defined in Cosworth build manuals and processes.

• Strip engine sub-assemblies – inspection and measurement of critical components as defined in Cosworth build manuals and processes.

• Test subcomponents of engine assembly’s on rigs and collect data.

• Record and maintain all build data and keep records up to date.

• Report faults and record information in the main engine database.

• Adhere to H&S practices and be accepting of other duties and activities that may be reasonably required to achieve company and departmental targets.

• Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.

• Support the Company’s compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice.
