Job summary

Cosworth are hiring Engine Build Technicians to join our Engine Build department, contributing to iconic projects and ensuring high-performance engine assemblies are built and rebuilt to Cosworth standards.

Role involves inspection, measurement, dismantling, and data recording with attention to safety and process compliance. Prior engine build experience is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Previous engine build experience is essential.
• NVQ L2-L3 Mechanical Engineering, BTEC, ONC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build engine assemblies and inspect/measure critical components per Cosworth build manuals.
• Strip engine assemblies and inspect/measure critical components as defined in build manuals.
• Strip subcomponents of engine assemblies.
• Perform pre- and post-dyno inspections prior to engine test/shipment.
• Record and maintain all build data and keep records up to date.
• Report faults and record information in the main engine database.
• Support the Company's compliance with health and safety and data protection policies.
• Train other employees/team members as required.

The Role

• Build engine assemblies - inspection and measurement of critical components as defined in Cosworth build manuals and processes.
• Strip engine assemblies - inspection and measurement of critical components as defined in Cosworth build manuals and processes.
• Strip subcomponents of engine assemblies.
• Pre and post dyno inspection prior to engine test/shipment.
• Record and maintain all build data and keep records up to date.
• Report faults and record information in the main engine database.
• Track support may be required to support the customer requirements.
• Training of other employees/team members as required.
• Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
• Support the Company's compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice.
