Job summary

Dawat-e-Islami is seeking a Quran teacher to join its UK-based team. The role focuses on delivering Tajweed and Islamic Studies to children aged 6-13, with lessons after school hours. Successful candidates will follow the organisation’s safeguarding procedures, complete DBS checks, and participate in ongoing training.

The role emphasizes high-quality education, engaging methods, and collaboration with a supportive management team within a diverse community setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent (Preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to relate well to young people and adults
• Passion for Islamic education and community service

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver innovative and engaging lessons in Tajweed and Islamic Studies.
• Ensure provision of high-quality education in line with the organisation’s expectations.
• Teach children aged 6-13 using provided textbooks and materials.
• Complete regular progress sheets and provide feedback summaries to parents.
• Follow the prescribed teaching timetable and participate in ongoing training.
