Job summary

Dawat-e-Islami UK is seeking a Quran teacher for after-school hours to educate children aged 6-13 in Tajweed and Islamic Studies. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons using our textbooks and materials, and track progress for parental feedback.

The role requires completed Alim/Alima, Hifz and Qiraat courses and strong communication skills. Ongoing training and DBS checks are part of the process. Negotiable remuneration for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent (Preferred).
• Alim/Alima, Hifz and Qiraat courses completed.
• Good written and spoken English is expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Tajweed and Islamic Studies lessons.
• Ensure high-quality education in line with Dawat-e-Islami expectations.
• Teach children aged 6-13 using provided textbooks and materials.
• Complete progress sheets and provide feedback to parents.
• Adhere to prescribed teaching timetable and participate in training.

The Role

• Plan and deliver innovative and engaging lessons in Tajweed and Islamic Studies
• Ensure provision of high-quality education in line with the organisation’s expectations
• To children between the ages of 6-13
• Using our textbooks, course books and other learning materials
• Complete regular progress sheets and compile a summary for feedback for parents
• By following the prescribed teaching timetable
• Excellent knowledge of Tajweed and Islamic Studies
• Passionate about raising achievement and providing the best possible Islamic education for all children
• Ability to work on own initiative and identify new opportunities
• Ability to relate well to young people and adults
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good standard of IT skills
• Participate in ongoing training for continued professional development (organizational & professional)
• Self-motivated, organised and professional
• Portray a positive attitude
• Successfully completed Alim/Alima course or a similar Islamic course
• Successfully completed Hifz course
• Successfully completed Qiraat course
• Ongoing training will be provided

Selection Process

• Candidates will be shortlisted using the job description and personal specifications

• Pass company Teaching test
• Any offers made will be subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and completion of mandatory e-modules prior to starting the job

This role involves working Monday to Friday from 4:30pm - 7:45pm.

Start Date
