Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting September 2026 in a supportive secondary school in the UK. Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities.
• Organised, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Willingness to commit to a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across the secondary age range.
• Teach Maths in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching.
• Provide clear feedback to support pupil progress and attainment.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities.
• Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider staff team.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement.
• Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times.
