Job summary

KM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Functional Skills Tutor / Maths Tutor for a centre-based, full-time permanent position. Salary ranges from £30,000 to £35,000, depending on skills and experience.

The role requires delivering Functional Skills Maths, ideally with experience in teaching small groups, and the ability to adapt to diverse learner needs within a classroom setting. A Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards it is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths to learners.
• Hold or be willing to work towards a Teaching qualification at Level 5 (fully funded).
• Experience delivering to small groups of learners.
• Excellent classroom management and learner engagement skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Functional Skills Maths sessions within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• Be flexible with delivery methods, providing differentiation and adapting quickly to learner needs.
• Assist learners in identifying skills required to progress towards career aspirations.
• Be engaging with energy and passion to motivate/train clients to help learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
