Educato Recruitment is assisting a secondary provision in Rochdale to recruit an enthusiastic English Teacher to support pupils who may have struggled to engage with mainstream education. You will bring English to life while building confidence in reading, writing, comprehension and communication.

We seek someone patient, resilient and capable of adapting lessons to individual needs, with QTS preferred and experience in AP/PRU or SEMH settings being advantageous.

Formación

• Experience teaching English at secondary level, ideally including GCSE.
• Able to manage a classroom and engage pupils with varying levels of motivation.
• Patient, resilient and able to adapt teaching approaches.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Support pupils with literacy, comprehension, creative writing and exam preparation.
• Adapting learning activities to suit different abilities and individual needs.
• Encourage pupils to participate, develop independence and work towards their academic goals.
• Maintaining clear classroom expectations and supporting positive behaviour.
• Monitoring pupils' progress and identifying areas where additional support may be needed.
