Job summary

Milk Education are currently seeking a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wandsworth from October 2026. You will support children in the early years, helping create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where children can learn and develop.

The role involves supporting daily activities, helping with play-based learning, and promoting positive behaviour. Excellent team collaboration and safeguarding awareness are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children is desirable.
• Genuine passion for early years education.
• Patient, caring and approachable.
• Confident communicating with young children.

Responsibilities

• Support children throughout the school day within the nursery setting.
• Assist with engaging play-based learning activities.
• Support children's communication, social and emotional development.
• Help children develop their independence and confidence.
• Assist with classroom routines and preparation of resources.
• Encourage positive behaviour and good learning habits.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider early years team.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment.
