Job summary

Academics is working with a friendly nursery in Wandsworth to appoint a Nursery Teaching Assistant from September 2026. You will help create a safe, nurturing space and contribute to early learning activities in a supportive team.

This full-time, term-time role runs Monday to Friday with pay £95-£100 per day depending on experience. Level 3 EY/Childcare or relevant experience is preferred; DBS and safeguarding checks apply.

Role Details

Location: Wandsworth

Start Date: September 2026 to July 2026

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Term Time)

Pay: £95-£100 per day (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the nursery team in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
• Assist with engaging activities that support children's learning, development, and curiosity.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and communication development.
• Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and contribute to children's learning and development.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working with children within a nursery, Early Years, primary school, or similar educational setting.
• Ideally hold a Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification, although candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework and play-based learning.
