Job summary

Outwood Academy Riverside in the Tees Valley is seeking a proactive supervisor to support learning continuity during teacher absences. You will oversee whole classes, implement pre-set work and help maintain a calm, constructive learning environment across subjects.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a school environment is desirable.
• Ability and willingness to obtain/advance qualifications and training and development is essential.
• Essential communication, confidentiality and ICT skills (Microsoft Office) are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence and implement pre-set work programmes.
• Manage student behaviour according to the school policy to maintain a constructive environment.
• Assist in preparing the environment and materials and respond to student questions about set work.
• Collect completed assignments and support attendance recording during lessons.
• Support examination logistics by assisting in invigilation and reporting pupil behaviour as needed.
• Oversee entry/exit procedures for students and perform related administrative tasks.
