Job summary

Outwood Academy Valley in Worksop is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to supervise classes during short-term teacher absences and ensure continuity of learning. You will cover lessons set by teachers and maintain high expectations and behavior.

The role involves preparing learning environments, organising the daily cover rota, contacting supply agencies, and supporting in the classroom when cover is not required. Start date is as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in a classroom setting or school environment preferred.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt to various subjects and support learning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences and implement work programmes.
• Cover lessons using the set work and maintain high expectations to motivate students.
• Organise the daily cover rota and contact teaching supply agencies to arrange cover staff.
• Support in the classroom when cover is not required and assist in preparing learning environments.
