Job summary

Larchwood Care Home in Braintree, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to deliver engaging, person-centred activities for residents, including those living with dementia.

You will plan a varied schedule, build relationships with residents and the wider team, supporting wellbeing and independence while providing training and development opportunities within a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in activities or similar role is beneficial; transferable skills encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
• Tailor activities to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and include those living with dementia.
• Contribute to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued and connected.
• Support training and development within the role.
