Job summary

Larchwood Care Home in Braintree, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to deliver engaging, person-centred activities for residents, including those living with dementia.

You will plan a varied schedule, build relationships with residents and the wider team, supporting wellbeing and independence while providing training and development opportunities within a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

Job description

Larchwood Care Home is a warm and welcoming care home located in Braintree, Essex. Providing residential, dementia and respite care, the home offers a comfortable and supportive environment where Residents can enjoy their own routines, interests and independence. With en suite bedrooms, a café, sensory garden, on site hair salon and a varied activities programme, colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

• £14.80 to £15.30 per hour
• Contracted to 22.5 or 30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
