Job summary

Sandwell Council is recruiting Engagement Mentoring Officers on a fixed-term basis until March 2028. You will engage with Sandwell residents to access employment and training opportunities, mentoring them through activities, training and workplaces to support their career pathways.

You will monitor progress, report on development, and identify progression into employment after the support provided. The role involves working on externally funded contracts to move residents closer to the labour

Qualifications

• IAG Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Post 16 Education/Learning and/or Employment and Skills.
• Mentoring, coaching support and managing a caseload.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Sandwell people to access employment and training supporting their journey.
• Mentor and support participants within activities, training and/or workplace, ensuring commitment to career pathway.
• Monitor and report progression of participants and identify progression into employment.
