Sandwell Council is seeking an experienced HR Consultant to join the HR & OD team. This fixed-term contract role offers 37 hours per week at Sandwell Council House, Oldbury, supporting managers with complex people challenges.

We have two fixed-term opportunities: 12-month maternity cover and 10-month secondment cover. You will advise senior managers on disciplinary matters, contribute to organisational change, and help shape the workforce of the future.

Formación

• Substantial experience providing professional HR advice within a complex organisation.
• Experience managing sensitive and complex employee relations casework.
• Experience supporting organisational change and workforce transformation initiatives.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Resilience, pragmatic problem-solving and high professional standards.

Responsabilidades

• Provide pragmatic, professional, and solution-focused HR support to managers.
• Work with HR Business Partners, managers, Trade Unions and stakeholders to manage workforce challenges.
• Contribute to organisational change, restructures or workforce transformation initiatives.
• Help create positive working environments where people can thrive.
