Job summary

Trigo Retail is seeking an Engagement Associate to work with our Engagement Managers, strengthening and growing relationships with leading retailers. You will learn our technology, support deployments, and manage day-to-day client operations with the aim of independently owning accounts.

The DACH market is critical; your work will shape how Trigo shows up for major clients while engaging senior management early on.

Qualifications

• German native or fluent with strong English; other languages are a plus.
• Background bridging business & tech (Business Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent).
• Comfort in technical environments and clear communication with engineering teams.
• High ownership mindset and initiative.
• Eager to learn fast, collaborate across time zones, and embrace an AI-first way of working.
• Flexibility to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Visit stores and talk to client staff to understand real-world performance of our technology.
• Coordinate issue resolution with TechOps and R&D to reduce escalations.
• Use analytics to surface data-driven, evidence-backed recommendations.
• Engage with client operations and IT teams to identify friction and opportunities.
• Own engagement tasks for clients as you grow in the role.
• Support rollout planning and expansion across accounts and provide client reporting.

We are hiring an Engagement Associate to work closely with our Engagement Managers, strengthening and growing our relationships with leading retailers. You will start close to the ground which means understanding our technology, supporting deployments, and managing day-to-day client operations with the goal of independently owning accounts.

The DACH retail market is one of our most strategically important. Your work will directly shape how Trigo shows up for some of its most significant clients while also engaging with our own senior management early on.

Essential:

• Native or fluent German speaker, strong English, other languages are a plus.
• A background bridging business &tech (Business Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent)
• Comfortable in technical environments which means being able to understand and clearly communicate issues to engineering teams.
• High ownership mindset: you take initiative.
• Eager to learn fast, collaborate across time zones, and embrace an AI-first way of working.

Nice to have:

• Experience in a client-facing or operational role (internships and student projects count).
• Familiarity with retail or FMCG environments.

A day in the life

What You'll Do

In your first 12 months:

• Get on the ground. Visit stores, talk to client staff, and understand how our technology performs in the real world. When issues arise, coordinate resolution with TechOps and R&D. We value faster fixes, fewer escalations.
• Drive with data. Use analytics tools to surface what is actually happening in data and turn that into clear, evidence-backed recommendations.
• Shape the product. Spend time with client operations and IT teams to understand where friction exists. Bring gaps and opportunities back with a point of view.
• Communicate proactively. Manage day-to-day queries, flag issues proactively, and keep stakeholders updated with clarity.
• Surface insights that drive action. When you find something meaningful in the data, frame it for the right audience.
• Work AI-first. Experiment with AI tools in your own workflows. Whether analysing data, drafting communications, finding smarter ways to operate. If you spot a better way, we want you to try it.

As you grow into the role (12+ months):

• Own engagement tasks for our clients.
• Support rollout planning and expansion coordination across accounts.
• Run client reporting: operational reviews and senior briefings that benchmark performance and make Trigo's value clear.
• Use data to identify trends before clients do and position Trigo as the partner that thinks ahead.
• Feed field insights back to Product and R&D to help shape the roadmap.
