Job summary

Ports of Jersey is seeking an Energy and Utilities Technician to drive energy efficiency across its airport, harbour and property estate. You will analyze energy data, track usage, identify savings and support initiatives to reduce costs and carbon emissions.

You will also help implement the Energy Management Strategy, research new technologies, and promote energy awareness across the organisation. A proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills is ideal.

Qualifications

• HNC, or equivalent, in Building Services Engineering or related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of energy management, renewables, mechanical and electrical services, and BMS.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with energy management strategy development and policy reviews.
• Set baseline energy consumption across ports assets and update as needed.
• Monitor usage against baseline and report variances to budget holders.
• Maintain energy usage records to identify trends.
• Provide technical input in design and delivery of new assets.
• Research, propose and trial technologies to improve energy performance.
• Coordinate with users, engineers and maintainers on new technology effectiveness.
