Job summary

Aurora Energy Research, based in Oxford, is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the GB & Ireland advisory team. You will support client engagements with data-driven insights across the energy transition, using Aurora’s energy market models to inform strategic decisions for utilities, developers, and policy bodies.

You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, developing hypotheses, analyzing quantitative data, and presenting findings to senior clients.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Genuine interest in energy economics and the energy transition.
• Strong teamworking and problem-solving skills.
• 2–4 years' work experience in the energy sector or another professional field.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quantitative analysis to deliver bespoke client insights using Aurora’s energy market models.
• Monitor market activity and stay updated on latest developments.
• Develop presentation materials and help deliver workshops to clients.
• Contribute to expanding Aurora's analytical tools and thought leadership.
