CATL is seeking a senior energy storage finance professional to lead cross-functional financial workstreams for UK, EU and APAC BESS projects. You will build and assure operating and financial models, develop funding strategies, and analyze market dynamics to drive ROI and project success.

The role requires deep experience in energy storage, strong stakeholder skills, and the ability to travel between China, the UK and Europe to support international opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in energy/power sectors with technical and financial modeling.
• Mastery of financial modeling and investment analysis.
• Experience in developing robust operating and forecasting models for BESS projects.
• Experience in UK & EU energy storage project development, M&A, or asset rotation.
• Experience in project management and budgeting.
• Consulting or multi-disciplinary renewable background preferred.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and build client relationships.
• Fluent English; multilingual a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead financial workstreams within projects, ensuring best-practice techniques and full integration with project inputs.
• Monitor and analyze UK, European and APAC electricity market structures, pricing mechanisms, and price trends.
• Specify, develop and assure a range of business and financial models for advises from third party consultants.
• Lead development of funding strategies and financial cases for international BESS projects.
• Review and assure operating and financial models for standalone or co-located BESS projects.
• Develop, review and optimize financial models (LCOE, NPV, IRR) with sensitivity analyses.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between project teams and internal departments.
• Conduct internal reviews of modelling work as part of CATL quality procedures.
• Support identification of opportunities and production of proposals for M&A and business development in UK, EU and APAC.
• Support development of team members and knowledge transfer through training.
