Job summary

Camlin is seeking a delivery-focused Software Product Owner to drive the development of a multi-customer SaaS application in the energy sector. You will translate product strategy into a healthy backlog, ensure sprint readiness, and influence roadmap decisions through delivery evidence and customer feedback.

As a hands-on Product Owner, you will work at the intersection of Product Management and Engineering to deliver reusable capabilities and scalable patterns for multiple energy customers

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner, Senior Product Owner or equivalent role delivering complex software products.
• Demonstrable experience working hands-on with software engineering teams in sprint-based Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily Scrum, sprint reviews, retrospectives and release planning.
• Strong backlog management skills, including prioritisation, decomposition of EPICs, user-story creation, acceptance criteria and maintaining sufficient delivery-ready work ahead of the team.
• Experience partnering with Product Management to translate product strategy, roadmap priorities and customer outcomes into executable delivery backlogs.
• Proven ability to influence engineering delivery without line-managing the team, creating clarity, resolving ambiguity and facilitating timely product decisions.
• Experience developing SaaS, cloud or data-centric software products where capabilities scale across multiple customers.
• Experience with data-centric platforms and APIs/integrations within cloud-native ecosystems.
• Excellent facilitation, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.

Responsibilities

• Own and actively manage the team backlog, maintaining clear priority and a strong flow of ready work into upcoming sprints.
• Lead backlog refinement with Engineering, QA, UX and technical stakeholders to clarify scope, dependencies, acceptance criteria and risks.
• Translate product outcomes and EPICs into well-defined user stories ready for engineering delivery.
• Maintain readiness criteria for EPICs and stories, including value, scope, acceptance criteria and dependencies.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and ceremonies to keep momentum and deliver committed outcomes.
• Align Product Management and Engineering on priorities, trade-offs and delivery plans for releases.
• Influence sequencing and roadmap decisions using delivery evidence and customer feedback.
• Balance scope, value, quality, risk and time to improve delivery predictability.
