Job summary

SmartestEnergy UK is seeking a Regulatory Compliance professional to provide regulatory insight, analysis and advice across UK electricity and gas sectors. You will act as the central contact for regulatory impacts on business and IT projects, ensuring risks are identified and communicated to relevant teams.

The role involves assessing regulatory risks, supporting mandatory industry changes, and contributing to compliance monitoring, with opportunities to engage with regulators and industry

Qualifications

• Experience in the energy/utility regulatory sector.
• Experience on large-scale market-wide industry change programs (e.g., MHHS, Faster Switching, TCR, P272).
• Experience in regulatory/compliance implementation or business analysis.
• Holistic vision and end-to-end process awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory insight, analysis and advice across UK electricity and gas sectors.
• Act as central point of contact for regulatory impacts on business and IT projects.
• Assess regulatory risks, support implementation of changes, and monitor compliance.
• Engage with industry bodies and regulators to stay ahead of evolving requirements.
