Job summary

SmartestEnergy Business Limited is seeking a Compliance & Regulation professional to provide regulatory insight, analysis and advice across business and IT/change initiatives. You’ll be the central contact for regulatory impacts in the UK electricity and gas sectors, ensuring changes are understood and managed across teams.

You’ll combine regulatory knowledge with strong analytics and stakeholder management to assess risks, support mandatory industry changes, and contribute to compliance

Qualifications

• Experience in the energy regulation or utility sector.
• Experience delivering large market-wide changes (e.g., MHHS, Faster Switching).
• Experience implementing regulatory/compliance changes and analysing impacts.
• Strong stakeholder management and end-to-end process awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory insight, analysis and advice across business and IT/projects.
• Act as central point of contact for regulatory impacts in UK electricity and gas.
• Communicate regulatory changes clearly and help teams implement them.
• Engage with industry bodies, regulators and external stakeholders as needed.
