Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure in Motherwell, Scotland, is seeking a motivated Planner to support a major energy project from development through construction and commissioning. You will develop, maintain, and monitor programmes using Primavera P6, coordinating with project teams and clients to ensure on-time delivery.

Role involves integrating subcontractor programmes, managing risks, and providing regular progress updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning for construction, infrastructure, engineering or energy projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and change management processes.
• Ability to identify and analyse programme risks, delays and opportunities.
• Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Review project drawings to produce material take-offs and durations.
• Support the Senior Planner in development, maintenance and reporting of programmes.
• Review and integrate subcontractor programmes into the master project programme.
• Develop and monitor integrated design, procurement, construction and commissioning programmes.
• Ensure programmes are produced and maintained in line with requirements and milestones.
• Update and communicate project progress through updates, narratives and dashboards.
• Provide planning support to pre-construction, operational and commercial teams.
• Communicate programme information to clients, project teams and subcontractors.
• Support look-ahead programmes and short-term planning activities for operations teams
• Facilitate and support collaborative planning workshops.
• Take ownership of programme quality, accuracy and reporting.
• Identify, assess and communicate programme risks and opportunities.
• Manage compensation events and programme changes per contract requirements.
• Support commercial teams in securing entitlement through programme management.
