Job summary

Innovative is seeking a P6 Planner to support the planning team on energy projects from substation schemes to cable routes. The role covers Pre-construction through handover with a focus on delivering accurate, clear programmes and dashboards to support project performance.

Extensive Primavera P6 experience (cost/resource loading) and strong knowledge of NEC contracts are essential, as is the ability to travel between sites with a UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Detailed and forward-thinking approach to problem solving, with excellent organisational skills.
• Experience developing schemes from pre-construction through handover for a Distribution Network Operator is beneficial.
• Extensive experience using Primavera P6 including cost and resource loading.
• Good knowledge of NRWSA regulations would be advantageous.
• Ability to travel between sites with a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update accurate programmes/schedules in line with contractual requirements and store results for reporting.
• Attend sites as needed to support delivery and planning.
• Submit programmes within deadlines with reports.
• Produce tender programmes according to design and scope.
• Manage change events, track variations, and analyse critical paths.
• Coordinate subcontract programmes and provide feedback to improve delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and support development.
• Produce dashboards and trackers for project performance.
• Communicate with Design, Consents, commercial, estimating, and project teams.
