Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Cost Accountant to support cost management, invoicing, and reporting across energy projects. You will work with project teams, commercial teams, and the supply chain to ensure costs are recorded accurately and reported consistently.

The role involves maintaining cost systems, processing supplier invoices, creating CBS aligned to WBS, and assisting with PO/W0 setup and accruals. Strong Excel and stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with invoice processing, accounts payable, cost administration, or financial controls.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn project controls processes including forecasting and reporting.
• Desirable: experience in engineering/construction/energy sectors.
• Desirable: membership in APM or ACostE.
• BPSS level security clearance obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control systems to track budgets, commitments, and forecasts.
• Process, validate, and reconcile supplier invoices for accuracy.
• Assist CBS creation and maintenance aligned to WBS.
• Help set up POs, WOs, and requisitions for cost reporting.
• Monitor invoice status and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Assist accruals and reflect costs in project reporting.
• Support month-end reporting and forecast updates.
• Contribute to NEC/FIDIC compliance where applicable.
• Collaborate with project controls, planning, finance and procurement.
