Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks a Project Cost Accountant in the United Kingdom to support cost management, invoice processing, and financial reporting within project teams. You will help ensure costs are recorded accurately and reported reliably, working with procurement, planning and finance colleagues on CBS/WBS alignment.

The role requires strong numerical and analytical skills, Excel proficiency and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with invoice processing, accounts payable, cost administration or financial controls.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Profi­cient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication; good stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Process, validate and reconcile supplier invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain cost records and support month-end reporting and forecasts.
• Assist with CBS/WBS creation and alignment to project structures.
• Set up and manage POs, WOs and requisitions for accurate cost capture.
• Monitor invoice status and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and teams.
• Contribute to accruals and ensure costs are reflected in project reporting.
• Support cost reporting, expenditure analysis and financial summaries.
• Assist in cost-related change control and forecasting activities.
• Validate cost data to improve project reporting accuracy.
