Job summary

J. Murphy & Sons Ltd is recruiting a Project Coordinator to support energy projects in Banniskirk or Inverness, with the ability to travel.

The role involves handling finance and project processes, coordinating with site managers and ensuring accurate project numbers while driving continuous improvement. You will work across MS Office tools and PowerBI, interacting with a range of stakeholders and SHQE compliance.

Qualifications

Experience in a transaction process role (AP, purchase ledger, procurement, finance) or broad business administration.
Experience in the construction industry or similar is beneficial.
Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
High levels of emotional intelligence.
Working knowledge of MS Office and general systems.

Responsibilities

Execute key finance and project processes (raising requisitions, GRN orders, reporting status) for materials, resources and plant.
Work with Site managers on weekly paid and agency labour processes (timesheets, coding, overtime requests).
Use the accounting system to process project transactions and generate reports.
Run weekly management order reports and attend meetings with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor where required.
Promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters with SHQE.
Maintain diaries and schedule meetings for the senior team, including virtual and in-person meetings.
Alert the Project Manager to any interventions needed on site to maintain financial accuracy of project numbers.
Foster continuous improvement and share best practice within the team.
