Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Procurement Specialist for Teesside to lead electricity, gas, utilities and emissions allowances procurement. You will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers and brokers, and monitor markets to support budgeting and cost modelling.

The role requires extensive experience in energy procurement with strong analytical and commercial skills, plus familiarity with renewable energy procurement options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement/sourcing experience.
• Proven experience negotiating in commercially complex or volatile markets.
• Strong understanding of energy procurement, utilities or energy markets.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing procurement strategies across electricity, natural gas, utilities and emissions allowances.
• Leading energy sourcing, including fixed, indexed and blended pricing models.
• Monitoring energy markets, pricing trends and regulatory developments.
• Managing relationships with energy suppliers, brokers and intermediaries.
• Supporting energy budgeting, forecasting, consumption analysis and cost modelling.
• Identifying opportunities around green electricity, PPAs, biomethane and solar.
• Developing strategies to manage energy price volatility and supply risk.
• Supporting wider carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives.
