ICIS is seeking a Computational Energy Pricing Specialist to join editorial and data science teams. You will combine energy market analysis, price reporting, and data science to help assess European gas and power markets while supporting innovative pricing methodologies and analytical tools.

You will work with subject matter experts and technical colleagues to deliver trusted market intelligence, enhance pricing processes, and contribute to the future of energy market transparency.

Qualifications

• Python coding with data-analysis libraries; SQL, Dash or cloud tools are advantageous.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and ability to interrogate complex datasets.
• Knowledge of commodity markets, economics or price reporting; energy-market understanding is desirable.
• Clear written and spoken English; ability to explain technical concepts.
• Curious, collaborative and accountable, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Assess prices and explain market drivers across a portfolio of European energy markets.
• Contribute to clear, timely market commentary and data-led analysis.
• Develop Python code and applications to help automate data gathering, quality checks, calculations and pricing workflows.
• Lead model maintenance, development and innovation, including testing, documentation, monitoring, debugging and controlled deployment of enhancements.
• Translate market expertise into model assumptions and communicate methodologies and outputs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
