ICIS is seeking a Computational Energy Pricing Specialist to join its editorial and data science teams. You will blend energy market analysis with data science to assess European gas and power markets while supporting pricing methodologies and analytical tools.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver trusted market intelligence and enhance pricing processes. The role requires Python coding, data-analytic capabilities and strong English communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python coding and data-analysis libraries.
• Strong numeracy and ability to interrogate large datasets.
• Experience with SQL and data tools; Dash or cloud tools advantageous.
• Knowledge of commodity markets and energy pricing desirable.
• Clear written and spoken English; able to explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assess prices and explain market drivers across European energy markets.
• Contribute to clear, timely market commentary and data-led analysis.
• Develop Python code and applications to automate data gathering, quality checks, calculations and pricing workflows.
• Lead model maintenance, development and innovation, including testing, documentation and deployment.
• Translate market expertise into model assumptions and communicate methodologies to stakeholders.
