Job summary

Gloucester City Council is seeking an Energy Planning Manager to lead local area energy planning for Gloucestershire, coordinating energy pathways, data modelling and collaborative engagement with regional partners to deliver a countywide net zero strategy.

The role supports flexible, hybrid working and requires working with county councils, local authorities and energy sector partners to advance energy infrastructure planning and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Establish a single data set for energy planning and net zero projects across Gloucestershire.
• Develop detailed energy pathways and data modelling aligned with Regional Energy Strategic Plans.
• Engage with District Network Operators/Distribution System Operators and National Energy Strategic Operator to deliver coordinated energy planning.
