Job summary

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) is seeking a Community Energy Development Officer to help communities and local authorities turn Net Zero ambitions into practical energy projects. The role focuses on building partnerships, identifying opportunities, and supporting project development across the Greater South East.

You will work with community energy groups, local authorities and other stakeholders, facilitating workshops, developing resources, and helping communities

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the community energy and Net Zero sectors.
• Experience delivering community energy development projects.
• Strong partnership-building and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build capacity of community organisations to develop local energy projects.
• Develop inclusive relationships with community groups, local authorities and other partners.
• Identify opportunities for community energy projects and help progress viable ideas.
