Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is seeking an Energy Engineer based in Central London, with a strong focus on building performance and energy optimisation. The role offers a salary of up to £70,000 per annum and emphasizes delivering measurable energy savings.

You’ll use BEMS data, energy consumption and plant performance to understand building operation, identify inefficiencies and implement improvements, beyond traditional BMS maintenance.

Qualifications

• Background in BEMS/BMS, building controls, HVAC, energy management or building performance engineering.
• Strong BMS operation, diagnostics and trend-analysis experience.
• Experience with platforms such as Trend, Distech, Siemens, Sauter, Honeywell or Carel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze BMS trends, alarms and plant performance to identify faults and inefficiencies.
• Proactively identify and deliver energy-saving opportunities.
• Develop and implement plant and HVAC optimisation strategies.
• Monitor energy consumption, metering and environmental conditions.
• Track building performance and produce energy and reliability reporting.
• Carry out predictive analysis of critical equipment.
• Support energy reduction, sustainability and Net Zero initiatives.
• Diagnose BMS, HVAC and wider building-services issues.
• Carry out inspections, maintenance and hands-on fault finding where required.
• Work with engineering teams and specialist BEMS contractors to implement improvements.
