Job summary

Sustii is seeking an Energy Operations & Insight Manager to lead the optimisation of energy assets and BMS across a large, multi-site estate in London. This data-driven role shapes investment decisions and procurement through energy analytics.

The successful candidate will own daily operations, build energy management plans, oversee analytics partners, and translate complex data into actionable insight for staff and academic teams, supporting a 2040 net zero target.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant field (engineering,science) or equivalent professional experience.
• Solid experience of energy management in a multi-site, complex environment.
• A strong track record analysing energy data to produce meaningful, decision-ready insight, plus experience producing energy forecasts.
• A demonstrable track record delivering cost savings, efficiency improvements and carbon reduction initiatives.
• Comfort working with large, complex datasets, able to draw clear conclusions and present them concisely.
• Familiarity with energy data platforms, performance analytics and digital optimisation tools.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder skills, able to influence and build relationships across a large, complex organisation.
• IPMVP qualification or measurement & verification experience, and higher education sector experience, both a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation and optimisation of energy assets across a multi-site estate.
• Manage BMS strategy and energy management/analytics plan for the estate.
• Oversee third-party analytics partners and contracts.
• Analyze estate energy data to identify reduction opportunities and investment priorities.
• Produce energy forecasts and emissions data for statutory reporting.
• Build dashboards with a third party to turn data into insights.
• Advise staff and academic teams on best energy practices.
