Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Assistant Sales Manager in London to support Senior Sales Managers, engage clients, and prepare credit memos and reviews. You’ll work with Middle-Office, Client Services and Operations to ensure efficient service delivery and contribute to revenue growth.

The role requires knowledge of trade finance products, commodity markets, and strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance to Senior Sales Managers with day-to-day client engagement, profitability calculation, call reports and other ad hoc tasks.
• Draft credit memos or annual reviews in relation to structured transactions.
• Join client calls along with the opportunity to lead some calls as when ready under the supervision of the Senior Sales Manager.
• Engage with Middle-Office, Client Services and Operations teams to ensure client queries and service delivery are actioned efficiently.
• Engage with internal stakeholders such as relationship bankers, portfolio management, credit, legal, compliance, tax etc.
• Review legal documentations in relation to financings (vanilla as well as structured finance transactions).
• Develop expertise to help Senior Sales Managers drive and deliver as per HSBC’s strategies and growth initiatives.
• Conduct sales performance analytics - using CRM systems such as CME and income reporting tools such as Omnia to understand the revenue stream of the business and identify trends.
