Job summary

Arup in London seeks an experienced Principal Energy Geotechnics Engineer to lead complex ground engineering projects across offshore wind, nuclear, CCUS, and hydrogen storage. You will oversee offshore and onshore investigations, develop ground models, assess geotechnical risks and provide high-quality advice to clients.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and internationally, contribute to business development, and mentor junior staff while advancing digital delivery and

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• Chartered Engineer/Geologist (or equivalent).
• Strong geotechnical engineering experience with ground investigations, interpretation and risk management.
• Experience delivering energy or major infrastructure projects (offshore wind, pipelines, nuclear, etc.).
• Proven project management and commercial awareness including programme, resources and client management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with experience reviewing and assuring technical quality.
• Collaborative and proactive approach; capable of mentoring others and contributing to CCUS, hydrogen, geothermal energy, and underground energy storage initiatives.

Responsibilities
