Job summary

Leicester City Council is recruiting two Energy Project Officers to join the Leicester Energy Hub. These permanent, full-time roles (37 hours) will be based at the city centre hub, delivering energy efficiency guidance to residents and businesses.

You’ll work as part of a small team, developing and delivering energy projects, identifying funding, and supporting bids, with opportunities to engage at community events.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy efficiency or retrofit-related field.
• Experience organizing events and engaging confidently with the public.
• Some project management experience and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills for preparing statistics and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face, phone and outreach energy advice to residents and businesses.
• Assist with the development and delivery of energy projects, including identifying funding opportunities and preparing bids.
• Keep accurate records and databases, assess applications, and produce reports and statistics on progress and outcomes.
• Represent the Hub and the wider Energy & Sustainability service at community events, seminars and outreach sessions.
