Job summary

Hull City Council's Warm Homes Team is seeking an Energy Efficiency Project Officer to tackle fuel poverty and improve energy efficiency across Hull. You will develop and deliver a range of energy efficiency initiatives, working with residents, partners, contractors and council services to create warmer, healthier and more affordable homes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects in housing, energy, sustainability or regeneration.
• Strong IT, database management and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of domestic energy efficiency, retrofit and fuel poverty.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• A passion for improving residents' lives and supporting a low-carbon future.

Responsibilities

• Deliver energy efficiency, retrofit and fuel poverty projects.
• Manage the Warm Homes Referral Management System and support residents accessing services.
• Monitor project performance, analyse trends and produce reports.
• Lead communications, engagement campaigns and promotional activities.
• Coordinate the Affordable Warmth Strategy and Steering Group.
• Provide specialist advice on energy efficiency and fuel poverty to colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
• Identify funding opportunities and support grant applications.
• Deliver training and presentations to partners and stakeholders.
• Support vulnerable residents with energy efficiency, affordable warmth and benefits advice.
• Prepare reports, briefings and presentations for senior managers and partnership groups.
• Work collaboratively to maximise outcomes for residents and attract investment into the city.
