Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Design Safety Compliance Advisor to support the safe delivery of major energy infrastructure projects across the UK. You will provide CDM 2015, Safety in Design guidance, and assess design risks throughout the project lifecycle.

You’ll work with designers, managers and clients to embed safety, facilitate risk workshops, and ensure compliance with legislation and client requirements in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Design Safety, CDM advisory, or health and safety compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 and UK health and safety legislation.
• Experience on energy, utilities, infrastructure, engineering or construction projects.
• Ability to facilitate workshops and communicate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide CDM 2015 and Safety in Design guidance to project teams.
• Facilitate design risk assessments, hazard workshops, and risk reviews.
• Support designers in eliminating, reducing, and controlling risks at source.
• Review and maintain hazard records and design risk registers.
• Undertake CDM compliance audits, gap analyses, and assurance activities.
• Assist in developing Pre-Construction Information (PCI) and Health & Safety File requirements.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders for effective risk management.
• Promote best practice and continuous improvement in design safety and compliance.
• Support major infrastructure projects across transmission, distribution, HVDC, substations and renewables.
