Job summary

Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets in London seeks a Claims Adjuster for Energy & Complex Risk Claims. You will manage a portfolio of third-party Casualty and Liability claims, liaising with clients, brokers and experts, and applying reserving philosophy while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a University Degree and/or professional qualification, claims handling experience, and progress towards ACII, with a proactive, diligent approach within a diverse team that values

Qualifications

• University degree or professional qualification.
• Claims handling experience in a relevant field.
• ACII qualification or progressing towards ACII or equivalent experience.
• Sound knowledge of insurance practice, FCA rules and Lloyd’s regulations.
• Ability to understand company procedures and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage, adjust, and settle a portfolio of claims within authority and SLAs.
• Liaise with clients, brokers, Claims Agreement Parties, loss adjusters, lawyers, TPAs, and underwriters.
• Report claims in accordance with reporting requirements to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure records comply with procedures and compliance manuals.
• Ensure reserves are accurate and align with reserving philosophy and regulatory requirements.
• Support quarterly review of open reserves for the Syndicate of claims.
• Assist with handling complaints and liaising with Compliance, Lloyd’s and FCA where appropriate.
• Understand and apply Lloyd’s Minimum Standards and claims schemes as applicable.
