Job summary

Claims Recruitment Services in London is recruiting an Energy Claims Adjuster to manage a portfolio of energy claims across upstream, downstream, renewables and power.

You will evaluate causes of loss, decide on responses based on policy and underwriting documentation, liaise with clients, loss adjusters, solicitors and brokers, and contribute to reserving and regulatory records.

This role offers exposure to international programs and opportunities to support broker engagement strategies.

Qualifications

• Energy claims handling experience on lead and follow basis.
• Knowledge of basic insurance principles in the London Market.
• Familiarity with policy and underwriting documentation.
• Understanding of IT applications used (CLASS, ECF2).
• Knowledge of energy policy coverage.
• Awareness of regulations and market issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Energy claims (upstream, downstream, renewables and power) within a designated claim authority.
• Undertake an initial evaluation of cause of loss.
• Decide the Company’s response to claims, based on correct interpretation of policy and underwriting documentation.
• Assist in the process for setting and entering into claims systems, accurate reserves.
• Liaise with clients, loss adjusters, solicitors, experts, brokers, MGA’s and TPA’s.
• Liaise with underwriters & risk managers, finance, Management, Home Office and with network.
• Maintain accurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes, preparing reports as necessary.
• Support manager and senior claims team to deliver strategic objectives for the function and broker engagement strategy.
• Assist in the management of international programs.
