Job summary

Prezzo Italian in Cardiff is seeking a Sous Chef to be number two in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and guiding the team to deliver consistently excellent Italian dishes.

You will lead by example, manage stock and costs, and ensure high standards of food quality and safety while maintaining a positive, busy kitchen environment. The role offers regular shifts and opportunities to grow within Prezzo's Brava brands across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or senior chef in a busy kitchen.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Knowledge of stock, waste, and kitchen costs.
• Commitment to high food quality and safety standards (HACCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team and support the Head Chef.
• Assist with menu planning, stock, and cost control.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
• Schedule shifts and support rota planning.
• Collaborate with General Manager to drive restaurant success.
