Job summary

Prezzo Italian is seeking a high-energy Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and be number two in our kitchen. You will help lead the kitchen team and deliver Italian dishes with pride, including pasta and pizza, aiming for consistently excellent standards across shifts.

You’ll receive a competitive hourly rate (£13.91-£14.94) plus tronc, with the flexibility of scheduling via our app and opportunities to work at other Prezzo locations across the UK.

Qualifications

• Kitchen leadership – Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef looking to step up in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Commercial know-how – You understand stock, waste, labour and kitchen costs and know how to support an efficient operation.
• Great standards – You care about food quality, consistency, cleanliness and food safety/HACCP.
• People skills – You're a positive, hands-on leader who enjoys coaching people and building a strong kitchen team.
• Pride in every plate – You understand that a great guest experience starts in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• As Sous Chef, you'll be number two in the kitchen, supporting your Head Chef lead the team and deputising for the Head Chef as needed.
• Help develop a brilliant team and work closely with your Head Chef and General Manager to make your restaurant a success.
• Deliver consistently great food and maintain excellent kitchen standards while supporting stock, waste and costs.
