Job summary

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust in the West Midlands is seeking a receptionist for the Endoscopy Department. You will be the first point of contact for patients, delivering excellent customer service and smooth patient flow.

The role requires good communication, organisation, and ICT skills, with experience in NHS or care settings preferred. Full-time, on-site position with training opportunities and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in reception, preferably in a caring environment.
• Experience dealing with a broad range of people, ideally in a care setting.
• Previous NHS and Endoscopy experience.
• Broad base of IT packages e.g. Word, Outlook, etc.

Responsibilities

• Providing reception cover for the Endoscopy service.
• Greeting patients on arrival and updating the Endoscopy patient system.
• Liaising with clinical staff/booking clerks about appointments.
• Inputting patient details into the system and arranging transport when needed.
• Handling telephone enquiries from patients and carers and filing patient records.
• Clinic preparation for endoscopy clinics and assisting with patient arrivals.
