Job summary

UHDB NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a substantive Band 6 Endocrine Clinical Nurse Specialist (Adults) working 22.5 hours per week within the Diabetes & Endocrinology team. You will require broad adult nursing experience, a passion for developing services, and a background in Endocrinology or general nursing with commitment to specialist training.

You may work across Royal Derby Hospital, Florence Nightingale Community Hospital and Queen's Hospital Burton, with training and support provided by

Qualifications

Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Experience at Band 6 level or higher in endocrinology or similar.
Ability to work independently and manage a specialist patient caseload.

Responsibilities

Run nurse-led clinics for thyroid and calcium disorders.
Provide training and support for patients on treatments for acromegaly and GH deficiency.
Coordinate endocrine investigations (SSTs, OGTTs, ITT, Water Deprivation).
Provide steroid advice for Addison's disease across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Contribute to service development within the Endocrine Specialist Nursing service.
