Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Endocrinology Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Diabetes & Endocrinology service at Royal Free Hospital, London. This fixed-term post for 18 months is full time (37.5 hours) with a salary of £47,951–£56,863 per annum inclusive of HCAS.

The post holder will lead endocrine nursing clinics, provide expert advice to patients and colleagues, work autonomously, and contribute to teaching and research within the endocrine team.

Qualifications

• The post-holder will play a key role in ensuring that the Trust provides high quality, patient focused care within the specialist endocrine nursing service; providing expert advice and support to patients, families and health care professionals using best evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• The post-holder will work independently/autonomously and at times without direct supervision and will be accountable for their own professional actions.
• The post holder will be a core member of Endocrine Clinical Specialist Nursing Team working in all areas of Endocrinology.
• The post-holder will focus in supporting endocrine consultant clinics, developing, and running nurse-led clinics, and contributing to teaching and training sessions for staff, patients and their families.
