Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support all aspects of our payroll processes. You will ensure accurate end-to-end payroll handling, data input and audits across our multi-location operation.

Support includes auto-enrolment, salary sacrifice pensions, RTI submissions, year-end processing, GDPR-compliant data handling, and ongoing collaboration with the Payroll Team to address inquiries and ad-hoc tasks.

Qualifications

• Two years’ relevant end-to-end payroll experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good IT/Microsoft Office skills.
• Understanding of multi-location payroll functions.
• CIPP Level 3/Technician Certificate preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll using external systems and portals.
• Input data into the payroll system and conduct thorough audit checks.
• Conduct reconciliation and variance audit checks each pay period.
• Manage payroll outputs for validation and sign-off.
• Oversee auto enrolment and salary sacrifice pension schemes, including importing contributions.
• Reconcile monthly and withheld pension contributions.
• Oversee the Payroll Team inbox and escalate enquiries as appropriate.
• Process manual calculations and supplementary payments.
• Carry out end of year processing, including RTI submissions and issuing P60s.
• Ensure all data is GDPR compliant.
• Support the team with ad-hoc payroll tasks.
